The CARS Postdoctoral Fellowships support outstanding recent Ph.D. graduates working on projects that explore new research directions in social or technical dimensions of transportation. The Fellowships are intended for exceptional young researchers who will be selected on the basis of their academic achievement and the promise of their scientific research.
CARS Fellows will have support for up to two years to work on creative, multidisciplinary research that complements the existing work of Stanford faculty in transportation-related areas, or that creates new research directions within the core mission areas of the Center for Automotive Research at Stanford.
Applications are accepted from individuals interested in pursuing postdoctoral training in areas that will strengthen research advancements in transportation, under the mentorship of a faculty member at Stanford University.
Applications from scholars who do not meet the fellowship guidelines will not be reviewed. Scholars are expected to ensure that they meet all eligibility criteria and follow the application procedures.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. Early applications are encouraged and will be reviewed starting no later than May 1st for applicants who wish to begin for the Fall quarter.
