The June 5 workshop, Towards Programming Ethics in Automated Vehicles, brought together experts to discuss how a code of ethics for programming can be applied to increasingly intelligent and automated vehicles. Featured speakers included Chris Gerdes, CARS; Patrick Lin, Cal-Poly; Debra Satz, Stanford Center for Ethics in Society; Shannon Vallor, Santa Clara University; Noah Goodall, Virginia Center for Transportation Innovation and Research, Dan Siciliano, Stanford Law School; Mykel Kochenderfer, Aero Astro and Silvio Savarese, Computer Science.
