John Ousterhout, Professor, Computer Science and Director of the Stanford Platform Lab will explain why device swarms of the future are likely to be controlled using large-scale software systems running in datacenters, and describe some of the projects underway in the Stanford Platform Laboratory to create infrastructure for these control systems.
