Ruolin Li is a postdoctoral scholar in the Autonomous Systems Lab in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics working with Marco PavoneShe is a CARS Fellow and is supported by the Center for Automotive Research at Stanford (CARS). Ruolin obtained a Ph.D. and a M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering advised by Prof. Roberto Horowitz from UC Berkeley in 2023 and 2018. She was selected as a Rising Star in Mechanical Engineering by Stanford in 2022 and a Rising Star in Civil and Environmental Engineering by MIT in 2021.

Ruolin’s current research interests are in the design and control of future mobility systems, particularly involving automated agents such as autonomous vehicles. Her research lies at the intersection of game theory, multi-agent systems, control and optimization, and machine learning, aiming to enhance the societal benefits of the intelligent transportation system.
