Energy Seminar: Austin Sendek: Building a better battery with machine learning

Austin Sendek, fifth-year Ph.D. student, Department of Applied Physics, working with Professors Evan Reed and Yi Cui, presents his research on applying machine learning to accelerate the discovery and design process in materials for solid-state lithium ion batteries. Seminar will be held at NVIDIA Auditorium, Jen-Hsun Huang Engineering Center at 4:30 PM. Link.

AI, Automation & Society

The Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences will be hosting a discussion on November 14, 5:30-6:45 PM at 75 Alta Road with three 2017-18 CASBS fellows exploring vital issues including the pace of adoption of automation and artificial intelligence (AI); the ethical responsibilities of scientists, engineers, and technology firms; and the implications for jobs and societal disruption. Registration required.

CARS Annual Meeting

The CARS Annual Meeting will be held at Paul Brest Hall East, Munger Graduate Residences. Our annual research symposium will feature presentations by our Co-directors and affiliated researchers. CARS Automotive & Mobility Career Fair
